Small Brow Tines on Mulie

Anyone know what Montanans call 1 inch brow tines on Mulies? Points or not? Some say "4x4 with brow tines", others say 5x5, if you can hang a ring on the points. You can definitely hang a ring on my mulie's brow tines.

A mule deer that has browtines measuring 1" or longer can be scored as a Typical G1, anything beyond a 5x5 frame is considered a nontypical growth for a mule deer according to the B&C scoring system.

Here it would be described as a 4x4 with brows by most hunters.

The brow tine is the "brain" point, and since mulies have very small brains, they have very small brow tines. Or something like that.

i think thats an old wives tale. its just a genetic thing. the way they evolved. just like whitetails have different subspecies within the whitetail family. in the deer family, theres different variations, like whitetail deer and mule deer and elk. just a variation among the cervids. the way they evolved i spose. the size of the brain has nothing to do with it.
