A Few Kentucky Bucks
Here are three bucks taken in KY on private land this past gun season, 2004.
This 11 point was taken by my buddy Chris. He had been hunting him because he had several trail cam pictures of this particular deer throughout the season. His latest picture was taken three days before Chris killed him, and sometime in those three days the buck must have gotten into a pretty good fight, and broke his browtine and his G2. He is a very nice deer, grossed 135, and netted 124 due to the broken tines. He was called in the the Can call and shot at 15 yards.

Here is my cousin Robey and I with our deer, he is on the right, and I am on the left. Robey's deer was a nice 8-point, grossed 119, and was his first deer ever while hunting on his own, so it was a very special time. My buck was a 10-point, that was pretty wide, 18 1/2". It grossed 129, netted 126. He came in on a trail of a doe, sniffin' around, and ran right up w/in 30 yards of my stand, so I got a nice shot on him. Our deer were killed on the same evenin', and that night we feasted and enjoyed the bountiful harvest.

RE: A Few Kentucky Bucks
Thanks you guys,
these deer were taken in Breckinridge county, up by the Ohio River. As far as the rut goes, I believe that the rut was in full swing to maybe winding down when we took our deer, which was about a week and a half ago. So I guess that now it has come to a close or is late post-rut. I haven't been out since then, though so I don't know. Do any of you all hunt here in KY?
