Thanks for all the compliments guys. I'll be sure to let Nikki read them all. She's still real excited about the whole deal. She started hunting this October when she took her first deer, a 9 year old doe.
Let me try to answer some of the questions. The gun she used is a 7mm mag. She actually used my dad's gun, since he had already shot a 162" buck and I was still hunting he was the guide in this situation.
At my house we received only a couple inches of snow. The area we were hunting got about 4" or so.
We estimated the buck to be about 180#, I know he had to be atleast 3.5 maybe older.
