Default How Would You Hunnt This Land ?

Here is a small track of land.

Its Govt Public Land.

The top of the picture is North.

It is about 2 1/2 miles long and 1 mile wide at the points.

I don't have accaess to any private land.

And this is within 12 miles from my house.

It is kinda hilly and thick brushy.

I have been told there is deer there.

I know there is turkey there.

This is where I turkey hunted this spring But I haven't walked around all of it.

And I turkey hunted close to a weat feild.

And there is about 1 acre of wheat planted that the state planted and said it is ok to hunt on.

I called them and that is what they said.

I have seen some small deer tracks in the wheat.

So just how would you go about hunting this land ?

Thank You

jrbsr

jr if there is plenty of cover close to the wheat field that would be a good place to start as well as around any water holes or creeks look for natural funnels who knows could be a real honey hole g/l

Good advice from all above. I'd attempt to locate their bedding area and set up between that and the wheat fields. In an area of high pressure you may have to stay on the stand most of the day to see anything.
