Rattling???

The other day during my hunt I tried some rattling and 3 doe walked out.I was wondering if their was any reason the a doe would be drawn to rattling?
I'm fairly new to hunting so excuse the unexperienced questions.
Thanks,
JE

Thats good to know.I never really thought of it that way.Good to know that I may have possibly encouraged them to check out whats going on.
Thanks for the replies guys.I'm going to try the same strategies this weekend and see what happens. Will this reduce my chances of seeing a buck?
Thanks.
JE
