HighDesertWolf,

i have a couple of freinds who have a little more money than others...and they bought a 600$ gun setup. custom stock, scope, 12 ga rifled barrel, it looks like a rifle....lol, but i have a remington 20 ga 870 express with changeable barrels i have my bird barrel, then i have my rifled barrel, i love the thing, mine was only 300$ for both barrels and the gun all togather. i think it was a good deal.

Thats a nice looking slug gun setup you have there, what kind of shotgun is that?? Ive been wanting to put a slug gun together and im not sure if i should turn one of my mossbergs ( i have a 500 and a 835) into a slug gun or if i should go get a remington combo shotshell/slug kit. One of my other thought is should I get a fully rifle slug barrel with rifle sights and use sabots or should i get a smooth bore with rifle sights and shoot rifled slugs? Also I know i want rifle sights but I would also like the option of using a scope or red dot sight, how are those saddle style scope mounts like on your setup? are they pretty solid?

I have a Remington 870 with a Bushnell Trophy 1.75-4x scope. Smooth barrell. I have high rings on the scope so I can see my rifle sights if I look under it.

The saddle scope mount is very solid.........goes in with your trigger pins.

My dad has a red dot and it is great too!!

I have an 835, rifled slug barrel, replace the wood forearm and stock with camo synthetic. Works great. Why waste $$$ on another gun.

Nice, the picture would look better with the gun not pointed at you though.
