deer feet

Anybody ever make a deer foot gunrack? Is there any way besides skinning them? I herd of people just bending them and leaving them for a couple weeks? How long will they last if i do it this way?

i made mine buy covering them in salt for about 3 months maybe too long but oh well .i took string and tied them to the shape i like too keep them in .....i cut holes in a bord and put a screw in the back of them to hold them in place .a friend told me too try useing dry wall anchers to mount them flat on a bord . i have 2 set's to mount this year :)

Anybody know how long thell last if you dont skin them and tan them and just put salt on them cause thats what im doing and was wondering?
