Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't it illegal to bait deer in GA even to take photos??? Nice deer anyway!

Looks to me like a 10pt. More than likley a 2.5 year old. Nice looking buck, i'd take him.

i know it is illegal to hunt over bait but i have no idea about using it to get pictures so if someone could tell me i would greatly appreciate it

No it's not illegal to feed, just don't hunt within 200 yds. of food for at least 10 days after all traces are gone. DNR Ranger would be looking very closely at a setup like this and likely asking some hard questions if not just outright arresting anybody with a weapon within 200 yds. One of the Rangers I work with spent the better part of a month observing a baited area and finally catching the guy on a stand over the bait.
BTW, it looks like a 2 1/2 yr old that would likely field dress at about 110 pounds. Leave him for another 2 years and you might have a respectable deer. I checked in a 5 1/2 year old 11 pt. last week that field dressed 157 lbs 19 1/2" outside spread and 20 1/4" main beam.
Not huge, but better than average for a North Georgia mountain buck.
