Very nice deer. Congrats. And welcome to the board. You dont have to explain to most of us how that experience made you feel. I have been hunting all my life and I still feel that way. I also hunt with a h&r 243 and love it. It has never let me down. Very flat shooting gun. We own 6 of them from 243 to 25-06. Again let me say congrats on the deer.

Stump, it took me about 17 years to kill one that big. Consider yourself luck, my friend! [8D]
That for sure is a great lookin first deer! I had to go 6 years before I shot anything that big.
