Finally Got My First Buck!

Everything worked perfectly. I heard him coming through the weeds. I gave a couple load grunts, he stopped. I gave one more, then he turned, saw the buck decoy I set out. Came up and paused just short of a clear shot, while he staired me down for a few minutes. Took two more steps up to the decoy, and put he nose up to smell it. Bamm!

Slug through the heart and lung, and a big high kick!

He bolted right back into the weeds. I waited about 15 minutes so I could settle down. Then found him on the path I cut about 50 yrd away. RRRRGGG! I had know idea half his rack was gone when I shot! Oh Well, I probably would have shot anyway.

I shot one fo those one racked bucks this year as well. One side busted clean off in a fight. It kind of looks unique beside the other racks. Everyone has thier own charm ;)

Congrats on number 1. A trophy regardless.
