I hope so....sightings have been real scarce though, not just by my area, but a lot of areas...starting to see more frequent road kill, but luckily the same doe and yearling fawn keep coming in every night. I hope she taunts a big'un out from hiding.

Good luck to you as well. I'm heading up to St. Helen Saturday. That'll feel like the longest drive in the world, but it'll be worth it. Just as the sign heading into St. Helen reads, "There's plenty to do at exit 222.":D

Oh yeah, gun season is upon us. Something about the tradition of meeting at the local greasy spoon at 5am with the crew, getting a belly full of food, then head out to sleep it off. :D

I'll be hunting not too far from you Carpmaster - we own property in Harrison. Good luck. Be safe.

I wasn't planning on gun hunting this year, but one of the guys we hunt with was near our area and noticed that Mead paper company added logging roads back into the areas that we've been hunting for years, that usually means a major tree wacking is in store and a loss of some great hunting areas.

Then my son was laid off last week unexpectedly and my parents haven't had there UP house closed yet. So now I have my hunting partner and a free place to stay. Haven't been up for opening day in a few years. We hunt south of Gould City in the Central/Eastern UP and have everything packed and ready to go. Can't wait to leave Saturday afternoon.

Good luck and safe hunting to all.
