Pumpkins
 
I have heard pumpkins work well for deer bait...is this true? will deer eat pumpkins, what is other bait that ppl use? I use corn, carrots, and sugar beets

Yes they love pumpkins. We grow them in the garden and I have watched the deer kick them out of the garden and smash them and eat them. They also love rotten sweet potatoes and apples. Perssimons are good too. We plant rye grass and turnips.

Deer do love pumpkins! I always throw them out behind the house after Halloween and the deer rip them apart!

I know they like pumpkins but the deer I've observed don't eat apples until later in the year. I don't think apples are their first choice.
