NW Georgia rut

Anyone know if the rut has kicked in yet in West Georgia? I saw something a couple of weeks ago about it beginning the 1st of November, but I'm not yet sure.

RE: NW Georgia rut

I haven't seen much action the past couple of weeks. I have seen more signs, though. I juiced up a scrape with some tinks 69 earlier this week. When I returned this morning I noticed the size of the scrape increased. It appeared that the deer freshened it up before I got there, because there was no leaves or pinestraw on top.

I'm beginning to think these deer are constantly nocturnal.

I talked with my uncle after my hunt today and he said that he saw @ 30 this morning. Small bucks chasing does. One 6 ptr was decent. This evening he saw 9 and my cousin saw 7. Bucks running them does. They are up in Athens, NE GA. I may be making a trip very soon.

I haven't seen anything since opening week, at least in the day time. This past Monday night, I found 2 does right under my stand but it was way after dark.
