How long before sunrise do you get in the woods???

Say the sun rises at 6:18 AM on a clear morning, what time do you get in the stand?

Here legal shooting time in the morning is 45 minutes before sunrise. I like to be set up at least 30 minutes before this time. Evening hunting is 15 minutes after shooting time. It is different from moring to evening because i live in the east portion of the province. my thoughts are you can never be too early but ya can be too late.

One hour before sunrise. In Oklahoma you can hunt 30 minutes before official sunrise. That gives me 30 minutes to settle down and take a nap!

45 mins - 1hr. It gives the woods time to settle down.

Here legal shooting hours are 1/2 after and before sunrise. I usually try and get in 45min-1 hour before shooting light and stay about 20 after legal hours are done unless there's deer in front of me. Then I don't leave until they do.

Depends on the specific stand, but on average 1 hour. I already got to stands at 4 am.In my younger days slept over night in a stand. I wanted to be the first in ,so when the other guys came in they would chase the deer back to me

On a clear morning I will try to make sure I am in position a hour before legal. If low ceiling/cloudy/snowing or raining I can doddle a bit as seeing light and legal light become verying different on these days 1/2 is plenty as it will more than likely be 1 hour till I could see enough to make a desicion to shoot.

Hiawatha, you must be refering to the table in the hunting guide! As the law is 1/2 hour before and 1/2 hour after no matter where you live or hunt. I hate that damn table / + or - the median BS...lol. I use my GPS to get exact times of the area I am hunting, being I hunt both east and west this works like a charm. Not to mention it maybe the only time I turn on my GPS that day...gotta get my money's worth..

During bow season with light pressure, I typically am in the stand 30-45 minutes before shooting time (1/2 hour before sunrise). During rifle season, I typically am there 1 to 1 1/2 before shooting time. There is lots of pressure here and no one is coordinated. This way I am first in and I never find anyone sitting in my spot......;) They find me and then move on.
