Amen, to that one, lol. Sounds like today, just got back from almost the same thing, lol. But alittle different, the deer where trying run me over, hiding behind trees, showing up at lunch time, starring and starring and starring, at me while I am tossing my lunch and trying to find my primers for the muzzel, sneaking up on me from behind while I am having a nap and scare the #$%^ out of me. Run across the trail in front of me, while having a bathroom break, and having the wrong gun in hand. Back and forth again, just to rub it in. I left for home at 4:30, Score Bambi 14/Jimbob 0, lol

You may want to add that your wife took a picture of a nice 10 pt in your backyard that afternoon. happened to me.
Another time I had to get home 1 hour before dark to host a "dinner party" with the wife.As he got to the dinner Her cousin was telling me about a huge buck he saw on the way to our house. After careful listening I discovered that Buck he saw was grazing in the field I had been hunting all day, and no the cousin had no idea I was hunting there. So I believe him. Missed him b/c of some danged ol dinner party[:'(] From the description it would have been a 100 yd shot from my Summit.
