i have the stealth cam dig, and battery life sucks i can only have it out for 3 days, i was wondering if the solar panel was really worth the buy, if i buy this will i be able to keep it out for multple weeks or no?

Don't know how well the solar panels work.

I bought a cheap trail camera from Walmart. It uses a 35 mm camera and the batteries last maybe 2 weeks at best. Which is usually OK because the 24 exposures are used up long before that unless I have the camera in a really remote area.

We have a lot of turkey that like to pose for the camera. If I put it in the wrong place the film can be used up the first day! Would like to get a digital camera so that I can take more pictures. Some digital cameras advertise battery life in months, not weeks (or days).

Got a pretty eerie picture a couple weekends ago. Appropriate for Halloween I guess. Picture taken on a foggy morning with the buck's head about 2 feet from the camera.

solar panel will stick out like a sore thumb. I'd get a Leaf River or Cuddeback or make my own that had better battery life. Jesse's game cam forum has info on making your own digital game cam for under $250

That camera should have a 12v inlet port for the solar panel to hook to. Take a $15 lawn mower battery from Wal-Mart, hook it to the inlet port. You must hook a resistor in series to limit the current, otherwise you will burn it up.

I took an old wall plug transformer that had the correct output connector. Cut off the connector. Soldered on a 100 ohm resistor. Soldered on 6ft extra wire, with lugs.

Man I use a Leaf River Trail Cam. I change the batteries maybe twice a year. I keep that thing out all the time. Basicly all of deer season and most of the spring. I got it last spring (a year and a half) and I've changed the batteries twice. You should really look into getting a Leaf River model. They're like 150 bucks. Never had a problem with it. Good pics, always works, simple, and many choices. My is not digital though.
