I guess alot of yakees dont know that south texas deer dont have alot of mass, but are tall and wide and most are thin, however they are great looking bucks. If i hunted texas i would want north texas in my opinion, but man that sure is a wall hanger!

Great buck, especially for bow season. If you get some details about the hunt would love to hear them Fireblade545.

Yeah, that's a sweet buck. I'd be proud of that no matter where I shot it.

Great buck! Especially for San Saba County. Too bad he wasn't killed up North, he would have had at least 25 points and weighed 400 lbs.

Anybody age the buck? I was wondering if those little forks on the ends of the tines are a function of age, or genetics or both. Deer don't usually get that old around here, whatever his age. Anyway very nice buck... and don't let anybody tell you he'd be better if he was this or that. My last nice deer is a 136 8-pt with one 8 in brow tine and one three in. brow. But I grew him and I shot him fair and square and he looks nice over the fireplace. Nice Deer!
