Federal 30-06 ammo.

Has anyone tried the Federal 30-06 150 grain ammo loaded with the Speer Grand Slam? I just got a box to try in case I need a good load and don't have time to roll my own.

Quess nobody has used this load much. I will soon know as I have a box to try for this year.

James my hunting partner uses the 160gr Speers GS in his 280 rem and loves them. He has shot deer, bear, elk and moose with the bullet. It seems to do a good job and in his rifle it shoots very nice as well. I think the 150's in the 06' should make a nice deer load for yeah.

Thanks. Our season is still three weeks off. I have been ready for months already. I will pack the 6.5x55 the first day or two. I will have my 7600 30-06 along as well. Good hunting. I love the 280 as well.
