Default Food Plots

I hunt central Texas and always wanted to plant a food plot. The ranch is used for cattle and jigs and bermuda grass have been planted for forage. I was wanting to try something besides rye, or wheat. Is clover a perrineal, does it reoccur or will it die out after 1 year? I don't want to introduce something that would take over and interfere with the grass that is used for the cattle. Any advice would be helpful.

Default RE: Food Plots

Depending on soil conditions, etc you will get some clover to come up for a few years, but if you have cattle they will probably keep it mowed down anyway. It is very good cattle forage.
