Missouri Archery Accident

I was told yesterday someone was killed in Missouri...shot by a buddy who mistook him for a turkey...this was not a joke....Anyone know if this is true?

You have got to see what you are shooting at and then shoot. I tell my son that all the time. I am sorry for the families involved, but it should never happen!!!

The authorities should pull his license for life then pack his butt up and throw him in the slammer. A quick trial for manslaughter would be next on the ajenda. While doing time for being an idiot, all his possesions be sold and the money generated from the sale go to the family of the person he murdered. When released from prison, garnish a big portion of his wages for the rest of his life. The garnishment going to the family of the deceased. There is NO excuse for a sound shot. None at all.[>:]

There is no good excuse for something like this happening with a gun, much less with a bow!

I find it extremely hard for someone to picture a human as a turkey. There's a lot that sounds fishy about the whole accident. I feel bad for the victim's family. Things like this are never good for us hunters.
