Trophy buck or albino
If you had a 150 score buck in front of you and a albino or piebald doe also. Which would you shoot???????? I would go for the albino , or pibald.
|
RE: Trophy buck or albino
At this point of my hunting career not have killing anything over 140, I would take the 150 class buck. I have been hunting for 17 years and I have seen more piebalds and only a few 150 and above class deer.

RE: Trophy buck or albino
Where I hunt I have virtually no chance of getting a 150 class animal, so that would be my choice. Of course I may be a little biased since I shot a piebald doe with my bow a few years ago. [8D]
Even if I hadn't...I'd still take the 150 :D |
RE: Trophy buck or albino
Without a doubt the 150 class buck. It really doesn't matter to me if the deer is white or brown. I have put alot of time in the woods and a buck of that caliber doesn't come around too often.

RE: Trophy buck or albino
150 class buck.
|
RE: Trophy buck or albino
150'' buck hands down.
|
RE: Trophy buck or albino
150 class albino buck ;)
jk 150 class buck for sure. |
RE: Trophy buck or albino
If I was using my fathers Rem. 742, I shoot the buck, whistle to stop the albino and take her too...;)
|
RE: Trophy buck or albino
seeing as where i hunt, a trophy buck is something not seen every year i would go for the buck
|
RE: Trophy buck or albino
I'd shoot the albino, then the 150, and the piebald lastly.
|
RE: Trophy buck or albino
I would shoot the albino verse the 150" buck because we cant shoot albinos here if it was legal i would do it, it would make an awsome mount and just the chance to see one is awsome. we have alot of 150" range bucks here maybe a little smaller so albino would be my choice if it was legal here.
|
RE: Trophy buck or albino
Definitely the 150-class buck!!!
|
RE: Trophy buck or albino
A game biologist said that piebald deer are genetic defects that results from high buck doe ratios. So definitely the 150.
|
RE: Trophy buck or albino
Using my win mag 300, I would shoot the 150 buck through the neck which would then richochet off the fence post and drop the albino. :D
|
RE: Trophy buck or albino
Only tag I had, I'd probably opt for the 35mm and get a picture of them both. However I assume this isn't one of my options..lol I'd take the genetic defect - white deer. Never seen one in the wild so it would be a great conversation piece and rare trophy indeed.

RE: Trophy buck or albino
A 150 class buck is very rare in my hunting area, so I'd most likely take the buck over an albino, or piebald doe. A piebald, or especially an albino doe is probably as rare, or rarer than a 150 class buck though, so it would be a hard choice.
If the piebald, or albino was any kind of a decent buck, it would be easy! I'd take the piebald, or albino! |
RE: Trophy buck or albino
Albinos are very rare here, i havent ever seen one before in person. 150'' bucks are becoming a little more popular here now in days, so id have to go with the albino :D
|
RE: Trophy buck or albino
I would have to take the buck! I'm in NJ and 150 bucks a very far and few between! I saw a piebald doe while scouting my hunting area last month and I hope to see her again real soon!....Jim
|
RE: Trophy buck or albino
I would shoot the 150 class if you never shot one that big .If you did I would shoot the pied or albino since the genectics are terrible
|
RE: Trophy buck or albino
Definately the 150, here you are lookin at prison time for killin an albino!
|
RE: Trophy buck or albino
I would have to say that it would depend on old that 15 class was. If he is not a really mature deer I'll pass him up for hopefully a chance next year. in Illinois albinos are illeagal to shoot but the piebald isn't protected, LET 'ER RIP!
|
RE: Trophy buck or albino
the buck hands down and no questions asked;)
|
RE: Trophy buck or albino
No doubt....., the 150" buck.
|
RE: Trophy buck or albino
I would definentally take the buck, because albino does are illegal here. I have seen an albino doe and buck before while hunting, and had to pass them up.
