Spooked Deer......

I was scouting and a dog spooked three deer then I spooked them again by accident. I'm just wondering if they will return again soon, will they change their patterns, or will they turn nocturnal? Oh, the deer were spooked in a small town in Maine. Thank you all for any answers.

I have hunted deer with dogs for all my adult life.I have fornd that I jump a buck in an area,if we don't kill him,in a couple days I can go back in the same area and jump him again.so yes they will come back to the same area.

I am not a hunter I am a whitetail population reduction specialest

remember keep your back to the sun, your knife sharp, and your powder dry.

They'll almost always come back. just give them their space and they'll forget you were ever there.

oops, posted to soon.Anyway, the deer you spooked have used there escape route and now they'll have confidence in their area. It'll feel more safe to them knowing that they can get out of harms way. They'll be back and probably use te same escape route next time.
