question about pigs
 

All you guys that are killing pigs, you eat them, right? I can't usually tell from the posts. Someone eats them, right? You aren't killing them just to kill them, right?

That question has been on my mind for awhile so I just had to ask. It isn't meant to offend, so don't take it that way.

The Missouri Dept of Conservation asks to shoot pigs on site, as many as you see. They want them gone. I hope people eat them cause it is good meat, but you can only eat so much.

Yep. . .we eat um. . . . shoot the small ones, under 50lbs, they fit just right in the smoker. I big one might not make it to the freezer but all the smaller ones sure do.;)

Yup . . gotta eat em. I suppose at a minimum you could get them cleaned and give the meat away . . . but, I dont pass up meat.

some dont eat them because of the threat from skinning them. Some are afraid because a decease come from the stomic

talked to some friends of mine back in southern Missouri, they were target shooting with their Ar-15's on their uncles property. They noticed a herd of 8 ferrell hogs about a 150 yards to the left of their targets and killed everyone of them. I dont know if they ate them or not they didnt say, but if i remember correctly missouri dept. of conservation doesnt recommend eating them.

i eat what i shoot. there is absolutely no excuse for just letting the animal lay. you can always donate the meat as needy families would love to have it.
