Steiner Predator Binos?

Anyone have any experience with these? Are they waterproof? All of the advertisements I have seen have not mentioned this. I figure they are.
I used to own a set of Nikon Monarch ATB's and they were ok. I am currently looking a the Predator 10x30's, as I need a little more compact pair. One thing that does strike me is the Nikons I previously owned had a 25 year warranty, while the Steiners only have a 10 year warranty. Thanks for any opinions.
And yes guys, I know that you get what you pay for, but I just don't have a thousand beans to drop on a set of binos! Got too much in my bow and other stuff!!

Razorhunter, i always said to myself i would never pay more than 200 bucks for a pair of binocs.Well when i bought a new 4 wheeler they gave away a pair of predators with the purchase. Those darn things were almost worth the atv purchase.Very clear optics and they do work great @ night. With a full moon on snow i can watch deer out to roughly 500 yards. They are definitly waterproof as many a rainstorm can attest.I hope this helps.BTW i have the 8x32

I was wondering how sshunter could see at night for 500 yds with 8x32's. The 8x42's he mentioned are great binocs. I have a pair and with an exit pupil of 5.25, they let a lot of light in. I am now awaiting a pair of nighthunters, 12x56. They are large, but i am big on light transmission, which you can not get from smaller binocs, unless you back the power way off.

Steiner has been great to deal with

Have any of you guys been on Steiners website? For the life of me, I can't seem to find a page that lists Steiner dealers in my area? Is there such a page?

I may end up having to order from Cabela's, but would like a dealer listing.
