he had a poster on his wall that said "endangered species" and had a picture of a mule deer and some other animals.

I walked up to him and asked him how old that poster was, he said he got it a few years back. I said "well, that poster is bull." He didn't take to kindly of that...

he said I didn't know what I was talking about. I said mule deer are NOT endangered, in fact there is more of them now then ever blah blah blah and went into my speach about that.

First thing he said was "you hunt, don't you?" I said yeah and he laughed. Yes he laughed. Then said "well your wrong about that poster, mule deer are endangered and it's because of hunters like you"

I couldn't believe what I was hearing! I asked him if he was a member of PETA or if he was from berkley (aka bezerkly) and he said no I'm not a member of PETA nor am I a libral. I said he sure sounds like a member of the kennedy family, and boy was that a mistake. He <u>yelled</u> at me and said &quot;go sit down or you get a F in my class&quot;

What the heck should I do? I've got a Bio teacher who can't get his facts straight and now is mad at me for correcting him!

SOUNDS LIKE YOUR TEACHER NEEDS A LESSON IN BIOLOGY. IF I WERE YOU I WOULD GET ALL THE INFO I CAN ON THE MULE DEER POPULATION AND TAKE IT IN AND SHOW HIM THAT THE POSTER IS WRONG, CONTACT YOU LOCAL GAME DEPARTMENT THEY COULD GIVE YOU THE FIGURES YOU NEED.

man what a moron...i am like you dont say nething unless i kno im rite and i prove my point i woulda ended up getting kicked out and suspended..i cant stand when ppl are clearly rong and u cna state the facts and show them...and they still so ur rong...im not sure what u can do..just leave it be...and dont take ne crap from him...and keep track of all your grades!! he has the power to make a C a F...get a folder..keep all ur graded papares in ect..and write down the grades and possible points and keep that in there too....check when grades are given!!

You said there are more mule deer now than ever and that is incorrect. In ALL of the western states mule deer populations are down, and CO has even funded projects to find out why. Are they endangered? Hell no, but their populations are not nearly as high as they were in the 70's and 80's

I have actually been kicked out of classes because of arguing over things like this, i just can't let it alone, it's my nature.

find some stats talking about how much money hunters give to wildlife through hunting liscenses, foundations, and such. and how hunters are one of the, if not the biggest members in comserving wildlife habitat.

then just set the papers on his desk and don't say anything else... he'll get the point.

Keep all your graded papers and mark down your test scores so hes doesn't cheat you out of the grade you deserve. Now with that said PROVE HIM WRONG!!!!! get all the facts you can about mule deer and where the money that we spend on our licences goes to.

ooops, I thought mullie populations are up. Well either way their not endangered. This teacher is actually pretty cool, he's nice but man, say the wrong thing and BAM! It's not that big a deal, I mean, it won't bother me. It's not worth being enemys so we'll see. I'll talk to him when I have class again. Thanks.

Seriously though, there isn't much you can do when people get emotional. They won't listen to reason no matter how &quot;right&quot; it is. Just blow the guy off..do your work in class and work on somebody that isn't so narrowminded and has such low self esteem that he needs to yell at one of his students.
