Start date for gun contest? Need input.......
 

I want to give the signup sheet a while to be up, but we will have to have a final date very some folks have an early start date with gun. How does Sept. 10 sound as a cutoff date, and Sept. 11 (Sat.) as a start date sound? We could do it earlier, but I would a least like to keep the signup list active through next week.

I can start hunting on the 11th but I'm willing to bet that I'm the exception. You should have people sign up and at the same time post the season opener in their state. Since it's truly a gun contest I think it should open on 1st season opener for firearms hunters. I can shoot my bow until the middle of December so that's no handicap for me. I plan to wait until I have a monster to arrow anyways.;)

Well, gun-season starts November 12 or something in that line here in NC. I take it you only post 1 buck for each team-member?

The cut-off date sounds good.

Rifle season in Texas doesn't start till the 1st Saturday in November :(

we should get everything started soon for the ppl who will be using bow only. next week would be good. our gun season isnt until the week of thanksgiving

I would get in a hurry, but so far we have one "bow only" hunter.
