Bug Spay

Hi guys,

We are 12 days away from opening day here in Georgia, and the ticks/mesquitos will be out in full force. Usually, I just suck it up and take the bites. However pulling off 9 ticks in one day last year, I've decided that enough is enough. I know there are a lot of commerical insect repellants that claim to be odor free, or wood scented and promise not to spook game. But which ones, if any, really live up to such claims and still work?

thanks

for ticks and gigers i use doronon unscented spray once last two weeks on clothing ( only spray on clothes) for mosiqtoes I dont uses sprays, I use the thermal-cell repeller its great. I hunt alot of salt marshes in sept with mosiqtoes the size of F-14S AND HAVE NOT been bite more than a few times in the first few minutes of getting set up.

I spray my camo with REPEL PERMANONE it containes permethrin . It is a scent free after drying and lasts 2 weeks or more . It dosn't repell it kills ticks ,sketters ect. I have used it for years ,deer have walked down wind and not spooked .I love watching bugs land on treated camo ,walk around and then fall off dead.

When I'm scouting , hanging stands or fishing it's "no stinkin bugs" all the way. But, when I'm hunting I don't want to put anything I don't have to on my camo. If you're hunting from a stand I'd recommend a thermacell.

If you don't mind spaying ;)your camo I have witnessed no adverse effects from the "no stinkin bugs" It dosn't seem to bother the deer.
