I would just look at those dates from last year. Cant be that much different from last year. Here in NE Indiana I know about by the third week of November the rut kicks in. Just watch what the deer are doing and you will know what phase they are in. Just get out in the woods hunt and have fun.

I would check with someone that hunts in that specific area that you want to hunt. I've never seen a rut prediction/chart that coincided with the area of Alabama we hunt in.

Forget the rut just hunt, pre rut and post rut can be just as productive for big deer than full blown(peak) rut. At this time big bucks cruise looking for signs or late estrus does vs tending this is quite often when we will see that big boy cruising through an open field at high noon. I am not saying the rut isn't a great time to hunt but it is feast or famine really! I also agree rut is pretty close with whitetails to the previous years and even if you miss peak you have windows on either side that can be just as or even more productive than actual peak.

Ask your local DNR or Biologist on estimated rut activity levels for the area you intend to hunt.

Best of Luck

Here is a site affiliated with this website that tells rut dates:

The chart is a joke! Texas:Dec 15-20? How do you print a one size fits all time period in a state that stretches 800 miles from north to south? The rut runs usually from about the second week of November to late December, depending on your location. Don't believe everything you read. Where I hunt, usually late November.

Being originally from clearfield county in PA...the mid-November rut sounds about right. I would say closer to late October, early November but close.
