My wife has been my hunting buddy for many years. I have a few other long time hunting pals but the wife is number one.

It would have to be my dad, He is very knowledgeable, and its always fun to outdo him. I know hes proud when I do, but I can see he wants to show me up at the same time. Its kind of a friendly competition, with an unspoken bond.

This is a great topic! I'm glad to hear so many say 'my Dad" because I'm hoping my 2 sons who are 15 and 7 will follow my love for the outdoors because my father never did. My 15 year old started bow hunting last year and loves it, hopefully I can keep his nose away from the video games long enough to bag one.

My 2 hunting buddies have been friends for 20+ years. We have had some great camp memories and even killed a few deer along the way. They finally got me into bow hunting in 1999 and now I love it more than shotgun and wish I would have started way back when they did.

Good luck to all this year!

The video games definatly get kids addicted, I should know, im 23 and those thing can be so much fun to play. But once hunting season comes around, I am never playing, hunting is numero uno priority.

I NEVER HAD A DAD AROUND TO CARRY ME HUNTING WHEN I WAS YOUNG BUT WHEN I TURNED 19 A GOOD FRIEND INTRODUCED ME TO DEER HUNTING AND NOW I AM ADDICTED AND EVEN THOUGH MY GOOD FRIEND KEVIN WAS MY FIRST HUNTING BUDDY I NOW HAVE NEWER ONE, MY 10 YEAR OLD STEP-SON. HE IS ABOUT AS CRAZY ABOUT DEER AS I AM. I ALREADY FEEL FOR HIS WIFE WHEN HE GETS MARRIED. LOL

Since my best friend died a few years back I really don't have one. My oldest daughter goes with me when she can but for the most part I hunt alone.

I have two: my lovely wife, and my socialist cousin. Both are great to hunt with, but I prefer to talk politics with only one.
