Contradicting yourself! It's okay to maybe think that some deer didn't eat as much, but it's not okay to think that just probably/might have a genetic code that predicts antler development.
I pose this question for you: What makes some racks really wide? Or really tall? Or long tines? Or long brow tines? Or characteristic droptines form one buck to his offspring to his offspring and so on?
Maybe some deer eat more then others, once again, genetics does not play a role in antler developement.
BTW in your quotes above, I see alot of the word, MAYBE and PROBABLY, but not a DEFINATLEY.

Very interesting read, this guy studies antler growth, and has scientifically shown what protiens and chemicals make them grow the fastest.
Once again, it has nothing to do with genetics

ConclusionsThe structure and properties of antlers have been well studied, but our understanding of the biochemical and physiologicalmechanisms involved in antler growth is still unclear. Some ofthe as yet unanswered questions are:1. How has the antler mechanism evolved? ie. How does itcommit suicide by withdrawing blood supply, cast off the antlerand re-grow it the next year?2. How does the scalp transform to velvet skin as the first antlersdevelop?3. When the antler is cast off, how and why do pedicel stumpsgive rise to antler buds instead of scar tissue?4. How is it that tropical deer generate antlers any time of theThe structure andproperties ofantlers have beenwell studied, butour understandingof the biochemicaland physiologicalmechanismsinvolved in antlergrowth is stillunclear.

I do not see how you infer that genetics does not play a role in antler development, given this article. He mentions genetics only in passing, in Box 2, "Bone Growth from a cartilage (chondral) Model-Calcification of Long Bones.

please do us a favor and spare us from your 98 other stupid questions. You've just proven in a few statements here you know nothing.

RE: 100 GOOD QUESTIONS THAT WILL TAKE ALOT OF THOUGHT (2cd question)
I was going to make a reply but the more i read the more i just cant believe someone would really argue that genetics has no part ............ahhhh what the hell who knows maybe that button head this year will be a 12 pointer next yr god knows im feeding him all these nutrients that arent gonna matter anyways>>>>LOL
