Lets have a contest for all of the east-side fella's on when do u think the rut is going to kick in? Myself included...........i say the rut is going to kick off the 3rd week of october, even maybe the second. Who is in, and what is your estimate?

rutting moon is the 28th, so i am saying the first week of Nov. in PA.....reading the book, hunting whitetails by the moon has really been good on predicting the rut

pa it always seems to be last week of oct or first week of nov......but man...its getting chilly out at night already....and leaves are turning....the locusts trees are brown already....and i saw maples in full color already...........i think winter will be early......so may the rut......not sure if weather effects it or not....and neither does anyone else.....noone know why they start to rut for sure.....

Peak chasing around hear will be the end of the first week into the second week in November. Peak RUT will be about 11/15(give or take a few days) like it is every year.

Oh, the weather doesn't effect when the rut occurs. Weather will always affect deer activity, bucks will run all hours of the day and night when chasing....it gets even better when it's cold and they're chasing.
