The area i hunt, no matter where i hunt on the property it always seems that right when the 9:00oclock bell starts ringing across the river, i can expect to start seeing deer. What about everyone else, when do u start seeing deer in you neck of the woods?

The deer population where I hunt is low - less than 10 deer per square mile but I would say the majority of our deer have been see and taken from 7-9:30am. Of course we can see deer any any time and have shot deer at every hour, but those mornings when the weather is cooperating and the other animals begin their movement, we can expect tp see deer.

If I don't see a deer with in 30 mins, I get ticked wondering where they are. Most of the time I''m jumping deer on the way in and out.

I have had a lease where 9am was when you saw deer. Last year the magic time was around 8am. I always found it strange how this occurs...

i would say that deer usually start running past my stand before daylight, but they slow down right at dawn, then pick up again between 8:00 and 11:00.

as soon as its light enough to see a hundred yards or so I can expect to see deer. Never knwo what direction, but on most mornings I can expect to see deer early.

In the evening, if we havent seen any by 5pm (after the time change) then 5 is when we expect it, we call it the magic hour, the land just errupts in deer
