I'm New to SouthEast Alaska, Juneau area. Need some help finding some deer on the mainland. Douglas is just to crouded.

cant give much advice on finding blacktails except that year before last, i was bear hunting in se alaska and couldnt balieve all the deer i saw there, it seemed like every time we went around a bend there were more deer, it couldve been theisland we were on but id like to hunt deer there.

You may have better luck if you post this in the big game forum. There are several people on that board who live and hunt in Alaska.

cooley we were hunting on the islands around the Petersburg area, we saw the most deer on the island where petersburg is located, and many right in and around town. It was awesome, and I cant wait for the day I get to go back.
