There is this same thread in the bowhunting forums and as stated there, terraserver.com is good but to get maps with an 8 meter resolution you need to register because it will not allow you to save the image. However if you use http://terraserver.microsoft.com/ you can save any image you want without any problems.

The terraserver photos are about 14 or more years old. If you check with your county forestry office, your property appraiser's office, the agriculture office or some of the local timber companies you may be able to obtain recent photos.

I like mytopo.com for arials and topos. It uses the terraserver database, but it's faster and easier to use, IMO.
