Default Buck in my yard tonight

I saw 5 deer one of which was a little basket 6 in my yard tonight. I know they've been back there, I've seen the tracks, rubs and scrapes. I am excited because I finally got to see them. Hope he grows into something nice by next fall.

Good for you! Were the other deer you saw bucks as well? Maybe they dropped their antlers.

2 weeks ago I saw six bucks together, only two still had antlers. Seems a bit early for the bucks to hang together - but we've had some odd warm weather in NY this year! - Just curious.

If they come back next year maybe let them come back the year after that and he will be even nicer.

That is kind of neat. I wish that happened in my backyard. Considering the fact that you saw a buck I would be willing to bet that most deer haven't dropped their antlers yet this year.

there were 2 more does out there last night. I don't have any food out, there is a stand of oaks at the end of the yard though. I don't think I can get them close enough to get good pics.

Behind my house about 60 yards away I have an acre food plot with corn feeder, mineral block and a small pond. We have deer out there almost every day. This fall we had 8 spotted fawns in the field one day. Very cheap, great entertainment. Of course they are off limits as far as hunting.
