Have you ever invented something?
Guys, I am wondering if any of you have ever invented a hunting product, or anything else I guess too, and actually taken the idea right to production and sold them?
I would be interested in hearing stories and tips. |
RE: Have you ever invented something?
No, but I do have an idea for a product that I think would sell real good.

RE: Have you ever invented something?
I have a few things that I have come up with but don't know how to go about getting them started. There have also bee things in the past I have either thought of or used that are now huge sellers. Take the block for example. Ever since I was 12 I have been taking scrap cardboard and stacking it in layers to compress and shotting at that. I know alot of hunters who have done this over the years. It took one guy to do it with foam and now he's rich. Oh well, maybe someday.

I designed a homemade device for inserting and squaring up inserts....a friend told me I should patent it and sell it....I didn't, but G5 Outdoors has a very similar product out called the ASD.[&:] Oh well, live and learn. I could be rich right now, instead I'm at work.:(

RE: Have you ever invented something?
I came up with a fool proof scope mounting setup that would eliminate cant when installing a scope on a rifle, no one wanted it though.

RE: Have you ever invented something?
I invented an inflatable dart board but it didn't sell!

RE: Have you ever invented something?
Well liveing on a farm you are always rigging new things up so I guess you could call that inventing.

RE: Have you ever invented something?
I designed a camo pattern, but never did take it to production, because of lack of greenbacks:(. I called it AMBUSH CAMO...A friend and myself did make our own deer hunting DVD and have sold quite a bit. The name of it? .....What else - "Whitetail Ambush!!":D
