need help with feeder pens
I need some advice on how to keep the cattle out of our feeder pens. A friend and I hunt with my elderly Father and his friend, which means I keep care of the lease and all the feeders. I had mostly portable pens made out of rebar welded together and covered with hog wire. Last year they got crushed by the cattle. Has anybody used T post and WEDGE-LOC Bracing hardware, or have a good idea. I keep up with 6 feeders so expensive cattle pens get costly.

RE: need help with feeder pens
The "T" posts should add some stability to the pen I would also run a couple of strands of barbed wire around the top.

RE: need help with feeder pens
T posts and hog panels will keep out most cattle. It is what I use. Cattle panels will work just as well, they are just taller and not quite as easy to handle.

RE: need help with feeder pens
the panels will keep out the live stock and also the hogs or other critters.i just put 2 pens up with t-posts.try to string the barbed wire around a tree for stronger stability.i had a prob with 4 horsed trying to get in and eat all my corn.i just put up 2 strands of wire, used t-posts, and used trees for anchors.we also took the most vulnerable side and anchored with a leaning t-posts.panels are nothing bad.they really limit anything besides deer that can get in.
