should i buy more stands?

I have three new areas picked out to hang some stands. Areas that I have stands hanging right now I dont want to remove them. Buy three new stands is a bit pricey. These areas are great to hang a stand. I dont know should I buy three new stands or what. As ground blinds go I was thinking about buying one, but they are pricey as well. Was thinking about making one out of wood. What you think?

You can pick up hang-on treestands in the $50-$70 range these days. If you play your cards right you can probably come away with 3 of them for under $200. You know you want to do it. :D

Why not just buy one, cut spots out in several trees for the one stand and move it when you feel you need to. I only own two stands and this is how I do things. They only take about 5 minutes to pull up and hang.

I bought 2 hang on stands the other day from Cabelas $34.99 each . I will have 11 -12 stands this year .You don't have to pay a lot .

I own 3 hang ons and a climber and was thinking about getting another this year. I'm like deer hunter, I'd like to have a stand in every area.

Wash, I've thought about using your idea but I hunt close to bedding areas and I feel I would make too much noise bringing in a stand and hanging it before I hunt. My solution is that I'm going to build a permenant stand in this one area, there's hardly any trees big enough to build a stand in so it's not like I'll be able to move it.

Why not invest in a new self-climber?

gorilla makes a stand for less than $40, they're not the biggest nor the lightest, but they are well made and durable; i've had one hanging for almost a year now and it has absolutely no rust on it whatsoever. i picked mine up at galyans.

This is just me, but I'd invest in a good climber!

This year I'll hunt from 5 stands. 2 ladder, two hang on and a climber. The ladder stands are close to home and I'll hunt them most. The hang ons are in more remote areas and my climber will roam wherever I go.

I'd also suggest a good climber. You've already got plenty of stands set up. Buy one and get comfortable with it.
