You guys that are seeing all these deer. I only saw one deer the other night and it was a doe I want to see some bucks. What time do you go out looking for deer and how?

My experiences with indiana have shown me that the deer can be very nocturnal shining is a good way to find them but i have never had much problem finding them in fields this time of year at first light and in the evening, just need your binocs and take a ride.

deer, are you looking in the right spot? All I am saying is deer move with seasons, it may not be far but just far enough you can't see them. Then next question is time, like hunting lower light situations are the best (either early morning or after supper through sunset). Check green field areas: hay, crops growing, etc. Here it is illegal to shine wildlife, it is considered chasing or AKA poaching. If legal then different but I wouldn't suggest it as it only furthers noc behaviour and stress on the animals.

You'll have to find where they hang which may mean a bit of driving and glassing, but a great way to hangout with buddies, chat or if you have a girl or family a nice way to spend the early part of the evening (in what is not preceived as a self serving act;)). Just make sure to pack treats for kids or plan a trip for an icecream for the girl if it apply's[8D]!

We are seeing them just before dark in the feilds but they stay close to the woods so they can take cover.
