limited entry vs. guided hunts

what does every one feel is a better way to go, take your chances in drawing a limited entry tag for instance unit 61 colorado where the chance of taking a awesome deer or taking your chances on going on a guided hunt. The outfitter makes his money from being a salesman and everyone of them will tell you there are no guarantees in hunting.
unit 61 3rd rifle season last year had a success rate of 76%. if your in patient and dont want to wait to draw a tag you can purchase landowner tags for less than a guided hunt

RE: limited entry vs. guided hunts

Me and my brother have 11 pp. for elk and 10 pp. for deer in Colorado we plan on hunting unit 61 with out a guide. plan on going in 05 or 06 . We have hunted unit 62 and bagged elk with out a guide. This will be our first hunt in a trophy unit and our last for it will take 15 years or more to get enough points to go again. To many hunters building up points.
