i decided for the hell of it to stoll up to kaibab (7 hours each way) from phoenix..
if you want to see some animals and i mean LOTS of animals.. you need to go to the north rim of the grand canyon .. about 60 miles or less south from kanab utah. if you are a hunter you will enjoy this area.. it took me 5 minutes to see elk, deer and some turkeys.i am gonna camp out there all summer...( i wish ).......

I have visited the Kaibab many times. It is about 4-6 hours from my home in N. Utah. Would love to get a deer tag there!

I have bow hunted there and you would never believe the number of people that go there the the opening weekend . I did see a lot of deer , but way to many people to hunt . The second week there was very few people and much better hunting in my opinion .
