Hog Decoy?? Thats the first time I have ever heard of that lol. I dont think anybody makes them. The best "decoy" for luring in hogs is a trail/pile of corn. If you want to you can mix the corn with hogwild or any other artificial additive. But I normally just use the corn by its self sprinkled on the ground. Works great on them stinky "corn rats".

I've seen a hog target in the Cabela's catalog that could probably do double duty as a hog decoy .

RE: Hog Decoy...
In a vented 55 gallon steel drum, 200 lbs of corn, 200 lbs of sorgham, 10 lbs of sugar, several packets of yeast, several large packets of red jello mix, a six pack of your least favorite beer, enough water to cover, allow at least a month for your brew to become sour. I suspend a 3 gallon bucket about 18 inches off the ground and put about a gallon of brew in the bucket every chance I get. This WILL attract hogs!

RE: Hog Decoy...
Well, give us an idea of what you can afford, and I'm sure somebody will come up with a useful tip.
I've seen that Hog Wild stuff being used, and it seems to bring them out of woodwork. It's not that expensive. |
RE: Hog Decoy...
Like Hawgnman says, a bag of corn works pretty darn well, costs all of 5 bucks. Once the hogs learn where it is they will keep coming back. I have played with lots of sweet smelly stuff and at the end of the day plain ole corn does just fine. Just sit back down wind and hit em right behind the ears.;):)
