RE: Buck w/ no browtines!

I've taken a few bucks with no browtines, some good-sized. I don't think it has anything to do with nutrition. I think it just has to do with genetics, etc. I also think some older bucks revert back and don't have them. In this part of the country we don't count them anyway.:)

Same here hntngirl, we call 'em cheaters!

A lot of blacktails and mulies don't have brow tines. we have a nice 160" mulie w/out browtines.

THIS DEER WAS EVENTUALLY GOING TO HAVE BROW TINES CAUSE HE WAS AGED AT ONLY 1.5

RE: Buck w/ no browtines!

in the state park next to where I hunt some has a buck that hangs around the roads going to the springs that is 5 years old or older,(he has been seen for the last 5 years)he will stand just off the road and let people get pic's of him.
he has never had brow tines.

I have taken 4 deer within 1 mile or less from there without brow tines.I think they are most likely his offsprings?????????????????????????????????????my wife took a fine 5 pt. last year without them , in the same area.he was 3 1/2 and in great shape.
