Here is my first, way back in 1994. It was a 1.5 year old doe on opening morning of shotgun season.

Mine was a button buck. I took it with a 20ga shotgun at 60 yards.

125 lb doe, shot with a bow. I used a string tracker, and when I shot I thought I'd hit low, but the deer crouched a bit. The arrow hit it just right, and the deer took off. The line made a neat sound as it played out, kind of like your drag whining when you're fishing. It was COOL. I cut the line when it stopped, climbed down from my stand and then the line started moving again. I chased it down, and then followed it to find the deer, which was by then dead. Short drag to the road. My buddy came by to get me a while later and he couldn't believe it, as neither of us had shot a deer with a bow. We loaded it into the trunk of his mother's 1980 Toyota Tercel and brought it home. His mother was pissed, but his dad was stoked.

I was 14, last day of the season, 130lb doe at 40 yards with my Remington 870 Wingmaster 16ga. with a slug. almost shot a spike horn that day too. Was on a deer drive. next was a button buck in southern tier, Next two were 6 points the following season, and then a nice doe this year with my shotgun at 60 yards. 4 out of five i shot with my shotgun, the bigger six point was with an open sight marlin 336 .30 at 125yds, right in the back

Mine was a 90 lb doe I shot with a rifle when I was 12 or 13. I can still remember it distinctly as it was during a time when my father still hunted with me.

After hunting for about 4 or 5 years, and having never even getting a shot, I was about ready to give up hunting. The next year I was bow hunting a better piece of property and in bow season, I shot at a nice doe, but missed! I did not have any doe tags for gun season, so I had to let several shootable does go. That got my hunting interest up to a new level and the next seaon, with better equipment and more practice, I arrowed my first deer, a nice doe! Later that season, I shot my first buck, a 4 point, with my rifle. That was several years back and, I have always killed at least one deer a season ever since!

My first was small eight pointer, taken with a bow, ten years ago. Just happen to be a buck, would have taken a doe if it had been unlucky enough to come by first. I have taken over 20 since then, about half does.
