Hmm... nope, I have never heard of this
Maybe someone else has...
but, please make sure that they can't get caught or strangled in any way...
What happens if they arent ready to shed and their antlers become tangled? Just some things to think about!

dotn worry ive got it to where no danger will come to the deer also if the anlters arent ready to shed they can just pull em out its lookks basically like a fence and i never seen deer with thier anlter caught in a fence

RE: Shed antler trap?

on two occasions I have found deer with there horns hung in a fence.
one we cut the wire and let him go,the other was already dead.
so please be careful how you set this up.

I am not a hunter I am a whitetail population reduction specialest

remember keep your back to the sun, your knife sharp, and your powder dry.

In my state that would be considered a snare trap for deer. Absolutely AGAINST THE LAW.

Hey guys we put out a barrel with a small slot in the bottom to let the corn flow out by itself and then we put 4 or 5 electric fence rods out around the pile so when the bucks bend down to eat the corn they will knock off their antlers hopefully. Rebar would work also. We just put them out so no results yet but will let you know when we have some antlers.

Maybe you could build a trap out of rebar but wire doesn't sound to safe to me .
