I have only seen this in mag. and on videos. That must of been some sight
Okelly45.Here in Pa you can only shoot one buck so it would put me in a
tough situation if it did happen.Congrats on the bucks.

I have seen it at night when I used to coon hunt. Two local bow hunters got their bucks locked, they kept following and shooting, they scored good but can't go in P&Y because not fair chase.

RE: two bucks with there horns locked

Why wouldn't they be fair chase? They weren't baited or trapped. It was coincidence that tey were locked together. I know it's not the most sportsmanlike way to get a deer, but I still think that technically they might be considered fair chase. I don't know all the fine points of fair chase, so i think I'm going to get educated in the next few posts.
Go ahead, I have my flame-retardant suit on.
HAHA.

What a sight! I'm sure that there aren't many folks who will ever see that in nature. Congrats on both deer.

On Our land we started Qdma back in 1994 and in 1995 we found a 8 piont 17 inch spread and a 10pt 18inch spread dead locked togeather. We figured it happened about 2days before gun season opened. We taged them so we could keep the horns. we loaded them on a trailer and took to town it was quit a show. You neaver really ever heard or saw such a thing ever happening. but since more Qdma is now being practiced it seems like every year a couple of bucks are found dead this way in southern WI. A strange thing was two years afterthis happened I found a huge buck dead not 20 yards from where we found the pair. This buck had a lot of barbwire wraped around his horns. but it was not caught on anything at the time we found it. The whole shame about this is now that we do Qdma it seems we find more dead shooters then we get to shoot in a years time.

Dan, perhaps you'd like to explain to everyone why you shot two deer when the State laws only allow the harvest of one animal. I've taken the liberty of forwarding your name and ISP to the DNR in Michigan. I'm sure they'll be interested in your answer to the same question. WR

White Raven, make sure you know your facts. Refer to Michigan Hunting and Trapping Guide, page 16.
A Combination Deer Hunting License with two kill tags, for use during any firearm hunting season. A hunter can use both kill tags in the firearm seasons to tag a legal(3 inches or longer antler) antlered deer of any size except for those areas with exceptions. The antlered deer has to have one antler with four or more antler points, each one inch or longer.
I hope that answers your posting. Have your facts correct before you accuse someone of doing something unlawful.

I came accross 2 bull moose locked together-dead a few years ago in Minnesota--both about 42"--44" fully intact except a little wolf munchy action--probably less than a week old--unbelievable area torn up by the fight--had article published in Mid-West outdoor news years ago with pictures--kept the antlers--billy

I stand corrected. My information, although correct was misleading. I was informed a person was allowed 1 kill/tag. I never realized more than one kill tag are issued. Congrats and my apologies. WR

There was one around here a few years ago. I think the guy had them mounted like that. My friend had some ducks mounted by the same guy.
