Stolen Treestand!!!

Went out today to do a little scouting and to check my treestands and some jerk had stolen 2 of them. I had the bottom four steps removed and both stands were chained and padlocked to the tree. I have'nt lost a stand in quite a while so needless to say my blood pressure is up tonight! I guess they used bolt cutters or they unbolted the stands is the only thing I can figure. Just goes to show you what extremes some people will do to take a stand.

The bad thing is its probably someone you know that stole them... So I would be looking at the houses for people that know you hunt there.. They really must have wanted them really bad to go through all that trouble..... I would be looking hard at the people you know though....

Sorry to hear about your stands.....

2 years ago I had 2 of my ladder stands stolen off our farm. I never could prove who did it but our neighbors hate the fact that we hunt. But they would never do nothing like that:eek:

I can't prove it but I do have a good idea who it was. We had problem a couple of years ago with adjoining landowners and leases riding their atv's on our lease without permission. Knowing a couple of these fellas' backgrounds, I definately feel like they are responsible.

i have never gotten any of my stands stolen because most of them are permanent but i have had some nasty notes left and my rattling antlers taken.....If i could only find out who was doing this i'm sure i wouldn't have a problem with it again after they were dealt with. These people have have no respect for others property and should be taught a lesson.

Bummer VA,

But you know what they say....."What comes around; goes around!"

They'll probobly fall out of a tree and hurt themselves-rightfully so.

RE: Stolen Treestand!!!

I went out to do some shed hunting and early turkey scouting this past weekend and found that one of my stands was stolen. I had a Brinks 5/8 cable around it so apparently they really wanted the stand. No one know that I hunt out there but my immediately family. This is the first year I've hunted out there and the owner says no one has ever asked to hunt it so I'm assuming someone has hunted the place without permission and now I've moved in and he's PO'd.
