I would definately get it mounted. I've read that Black bucks are more rare than Albinos. If thats the case it doesn't really make sense that in some states Albinos are protected but these aren't.

definitely would be a full body mount. an albino is a recessive gene. that means when there is lack of pigment, it is an albino. if there is a surplus of pigment gened in, it is melanistic. when they are black or darker than normal, that is what it is called. and yes it is extremely rare. duh. goes witout sayin. more rare than albinos. saw a newspaper article where some guy shot a small 3 point melanistic one and he was like "its not a trophy, but i am glad." i want to beat the living snot outta that person. shooting a black deer is a trophy enough.

So instead of letting a rare animal walk so others could see it, people have to figure out how it will look on the living room wall? I would take a picture then I would tell others and have them keep an eye out for it, there are more then enough deer that I don't have to take the one odd ball.
