Don't think you could go wrong regardless of choice. Tha Savage with accutrigger would shhot well. I like the accuracy guarentee of the Vanguard. I have had more Remingtons that I can remember and all worked very well. Quess just from expierence I would take the Remington.

I wouldn't trade my 30 year old Rem .270 for a new one of either, but either of them are fine rifles.

I always liked the savage, best value. I agree on the package, optics are questionable, along with the wood they use for the stock. I like the feel of the remingtons, never had one that didn't fit me well (shotgun or rifle) and wood is very nice.

weatherby for me. I got a weatherby .257 mag. its a killer for sure. Weatherby's are much higher priced but if the prices dont scare ya. I'd go out and purchase one.
Good luck!!!!!!!

i'll go w/ remington because i have had allot of experience w/ them and they never failed me. But i am a firm believer in the phrase "it isn't the gun, its the man behind the gun"
