It depends on the part of the country you are in, and that can vary by as much as 50 miles. In some areas they rut in early Nov, but in south Alabama the rut is going strong in early February. We were reloading cameras yesterday and there was tracks of bucks chasing does all over the roads.

In MS, late Novenber is usually the start and it seems in full swing by muzzleloading season which starts here about Dec. 2-3.

It depends on what part of Florida you would be in..some placs as early as September, others as late as February.
